Plate Carriers
The military has wide use for plate carriers that hold hard armor plates. Plate carriers provide protection that allows a soldier wear armor plates together with the gear. There are features to keep in mind when buying the right plate carrier.
Keep in mind the weight of the plate carrier because some may be too heavy for the user. Normally there are soft armor plate carriers and hard armor plate carriers. Soldiers normally practice combat with a specific plate carrier, which becomes the preferred plate carrier on the field. A heavy weight plate carrier will limit movement and become a hassle to walk in. With a more lightweight carrier, a soldier has the ability to carry more gear. A small detail such as weight will affect the outcome of an operation. However, if a soldier where to prioritize protection over lightweight ease, a hard armor plate carrier will be the prime option.
Take into consideration the environment the plate carrier will be utilized in. Most carriers contain heat, which can be a hassle if a soldier is operating in a hot environment. Some carriers have proper heat ventilation that won’t let heat build up and limit the soldier’s functionality.
We manufacture different plate carriers that provide solution to all the features previously mentioned. Some of our plate carriers come in black and green, which is the closest a soldier can get to camouflage. All of the plate carriers are made for hard armor plates, which provide the most ballistic protection.
Recommended armored plates to be used are SAPI hard armor plates. SAPI are small arms protective inserts that are ceramic plates and polyethylene plates. Most military personnel use SAPI hard armor plates in front because they provide better movement.
