The most important feature of any bulletproof vest is to prevent bullet penetration. Some armor plates were made in a rectangular / rectangle shape with pointed edges, but in some cases these types of plates could not fit the pockets of bulletproof vests and in other cases they did fit but rip them with time, so as solution we made ceramic plates that do not have pointed edges.
Also some users were complaining that the bulletproof vest was greatly hampering their mobility as the edges were always hitting them around the shoulders and also around the pelvis. This, in turn, led to a lot of disturbance and hindrance in the mobility of the wearer as they found it difficult to move their arms and legs.
In the making of these armor plate, it is one thing to have a heavy bulletproof plate (level IV ceramic plates weight above 3kg) it is very important to make these plates fit the bulletproof vest with more comfort.
These ceramic plates are very effective as they provide level III protection, and only weight 2.5kg. They preventing incidences of blunt force trauma, this trauma is usually experienced when a person becomes dazed or even convulses after being hit by the tremendous force of a bullet. This condition can be detected by the abrasions or cuts around the region where the bullet strikes a plate and in some cases, it could lead to internal injuries that in turn can lead to death.
These ceramic plates, come in 10″x12″ (25cmx30cm) size to fit our standard external bulletproof vests that have outer pockets for these plates, in front and back. This ensures that when these plates are embedded in the bullet proof vest with level IIIA, the ballistic material of the vest will be between the body and the ceramic plates.
